About

A message from Trevor...

Originally from Waterloo, Ontario, I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1997 with a BA in Economics and a Diploma in Accounting.

In 2003, I earned my professional designation, becoming a Certified General Accountant (CGA) and am now recognized as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).

Through my employment over the years, I have gained experience in the wholesale, manufacturing and retail industries.  Notable companies I have worked with include adidas, Salomon, Taylor Made, Stone Straw, Calendar Club, and Virgin Mobile Canada.

In 2009, I ventured outside of the accounting department and started my own retail corporation - ION Retail Solutions.  We operated several different retail programs – including Hickory Farms Canada, Big Deal Liquidators, Halloween Alley, and Pierced Parts.

In 2012, I helped develop and launch Funk-Off Piercing Deodorant and was on CBC’s Dragons’ Den later that year.  Our pitch aired in Season 7, Episode 1.  We secured a deal with Arlene Dickinson and Kevin O’Leary – the first time it was done in the history of the show.

After 8 years of running my own retail company, I decided to start my own accounting practice – where I can utilize my accounting and business ownership experience to help other entrepreneurs and business owners with their operations.  I provide full cycle accounting, income tax preparation/planning, corporate/personal tax returns, strategic consulting, operational support, business development/guidance and process recommendations.

I reside in Brant, Ontario with my wife Tabatha.  Our daughter Taylor and our son Tanner both attend Trent University.  Taylor is in a science program and is on the varsity rugby team.  Tanner is in the business administration and accounting program.

With over 20 years accounting and business experience, my goal is to help other entrepreneurs and businesses with their operations, accounting, and taxation requirements.
